2016 Vermentino Layne Vineyard 1.5L

The Layne Vineyard is located in the Applegate Valley, Vermentino was grafted in 2009 onto the only vines growing in red volcanic soils onsite. The grapes were destemmed and soaked for 48 hours with daily foot treading, then pressed and transferred into an elliptical concrete tank (The "Hippo"). Both primary and malo-lactic fermentations were completed, and the wine was bottled after 6 months of aging on lees, without fining or filtration.
