2016 Grüner Veltliner Vitae Springs 1.5L
Vitae Springs Grüner Veltliner vines were planted in 1980, perhaps the oldest in the country. The vineyard sits high in the South Salem Hills, and the fruit from here produces wines of great character and ample fruit flavor. We macerate more than half of the fruit whole cluster to help balance these fruit characters, and press after about 48 hours. The juice is then fermented in 500L Austrian oak puncheons, and aged on fine lees for eight months before bottling without fining or filtration.
