2017 Mendoza Chardonnay

Mendoza clone chardonnay results from a failed experiment to eradicate millanderage from the Wente clone, that made its way from UC Davis to Argentina to Australia and is now widely planted in several countries. While millanderage, also known as "hens & chicks," is generally considered a flaw, it also allows for grapes of varying ripeness which helps acidity levels in the finished wine.
